The Redskins came into Week 2 at home losing last week to the 49ers. The visiting Rams this week already had 1 win and was looking to capitalize on a road victory pending the weather. The weather conditions were not in favor of either team just being the 2nd week in September. Both teams stuck to their running game for the most part in the 1st half. When the Redskins went into the locker room at Halftime with both teams scoreless. They knew if they could just make some small adjustments in both pass protection and run blocking they mite be able to pull out a W. The Rams were the first team score in the 3rd QTR however they shank the extra point which didn’t help with the momentum for the rams. Cousins eventually would recover from a nasty slip, after the ball was hiked he stepped up in the pocket and threw a TD bomb to D. Jax. This alone fired up the Redskins defense to play a little more aggressive and try and give Cousins and company the ball back to seal the deal.

D. Jackson onside line after huge TD Catch

While the Redskins know that the Giants are the team to beat in the division going forward they just need play smart sound football. Coach Barnes said that if they can find a way to dial up quicker pressure on defense they could have more scoring opportunities. Which could come in handy against some of the better teams in the OBAFL. It’s still a long season to go with 15 games left and we just have to find a way to score in the red zone more often. Field goals don’t get you W’s in the OBAFL touchdowns do. When we played the 49ers in Week 1 we got down in the red zone about 5 times and only game away with 6 points and that won’t win you football games.

We caught up with Cousin after the game to asked how he made that D. Jackson Pass.

” l saw D Jackson had a step on his man but when I went to plant my foot I lost my footing. I was lucky enough to recover and step up in the pocket before getting hit on my right side get the Ball down field D. Jax which made huge play ”
