The Washington Redskins flew west to take on the now L.A Rams in a match that many favored the rams by 3 points. The Redskins went immediately after the kick off, 10 plays for 75 yards with a Jordan Reed Touchdown seal the deal. The Redskins pounded the rock using 3 different RB throughout the game. Rob Kelly and Perine wore the defense down for most of the game, Chris Thompson gashed the Rams for big gains and a big day. Thompson had a career day for himself with 123 YDS, 1 TD rushing.  The Redskins defense really showed up with a tighten run defense for the majority of the game except for one big run from Todd Gurley Jr. The secondary was stride for stride for the most part with Watkins and Austin and company. Josh Norman walked away with 2 INT,  Kendall Fuller recorded his first INT for a TD in his second season in Washington. We caught up with Coach Barnes after the game.

We knew coming into this game we had 3 people we had to lock up in order to walk away with a win. Limit Gurley and the running game , stop Watkins and Austin, win the one on one battle with Aaron Donald. Those 3 keys alone today is what made us get this huge win. I’m proud of my guys for fighting, executing key plays and just making playing 4 quarters of hard nose football.  ( Coach Barnes)
